Board of Trustees meeting, Friday 26th April 2024 at 2:00pm at Old Town Hall Crieff.

  1. Welcome and Apologies for Absence:

Present: Ann McIntosh, Chair (AM), Dorothy Jones (DJ), Marnie Gauld (MG), Dave Ferguson (DF), John Cowie (JC), Neil Rodan (NR).
Apologies: Ewen Honeyman (EH), Colin Crawford (CC)

  1. Minutes of the previous meeting were agreed and signed.
  1. Treasurer’s Report £6,273.35 in hand. 24 Founder Members have signed up to date. Crieff Community Council should be given a collective membership as requested by their chair.
  1. Preparations for 4 May Opening Day.
  • Drovers Discussion re panels, Are any of Blanche’s photos of standing stones?
  • Signage NR to take our Fonts to Andrew Finlayson for his Standing Stones poster. Main sign to go up Thursday 2nd or Friday 3rd. MG to email David Campbell. Sign to be put outside with opening hours.
  • Staffing / Volunteers For opening weekend Trustees will mostly man the museum. We need a process for inducting volunteers. Need a rolling duty roster.
  • H & S / Risk Assessment DJ has asked Mark Simmons of CPK for a template for risk assessment. Lorna Ramsay was involved in the insurance business – AM to ask if she would do our risk assessment. DJ to send AM the template.
  • Security Cameras Need Amazon invoices for all the security cameras.
  • Drovers Prints
  • Other NR to order stanchions for roping off exhibits.
  1. First Floor Development: Trustees generally like David Campbell’s ideas. NR felt we could only “wait and see” as things stand, but JC felt that we need a direction for the CLLD funding to go forwards.
  1. External Repairs AM has emailed Mark Young stressing that this is now VERY URGENT. Rhona Brock told DF that PKC are in the process of obtaining the necessary permissions. Some slates have been done already.
  1. Memberships Individual / Group etc. Deferred to next meeting.
  1. Business Plan / Funding Applications. Agreed that these were all in a satisfactory state for now.
  1. Trifold Leaflet. The photographer will come on 17th May. We have 3 days of BOLD time to get this completed.
  1. Direct Distribution Scotland: They need to know when we will be open. They will email when they are planning to be there and someone will need to let them in.
  1. Stock / Retail: David and Ian Robertson are coming on 1st May. Price List to be made up for all our items.
  1. Benefits In Kind: MG 15, DJ 30, DF 15, AM 4, NR 20, JC 5 total 89 hours.
